Corporate Legal Intern (Hybrid)

Job Description This role will be conducted in a hybrid remote format, with the employee splitting their time between our 65 Spit Brook Rd, Nashua, NH site, and remotely. To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must reside within a reasonable daily commute of our offices in Nashua, and be willing to work on-site 2-3 days per week.

BAE Systems’ Legal department in Nashua, NH is accepting applications for a paid Summer Legal Intern to assist the Electronic Systems corporate legal department with various work projects. Interns will be responsible for assignments involving all aspects of the department’s responsibilities, such as:

  • Analyzing and drafting various legal documents, including review of government and commercial contracts, NDAs and licenses.
  • Conducting legal research and preparing legal memos and correspondence.
  • Responding to discovery requests and subpoenas. Assisting the department attorneys with general matters, including litigation.

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship or Permanent Resident status.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Must have completed the student’s 1st year of law school
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be well organized, analytical, enthusiastic and eager to learn.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Completion of advanced courses of law
  • Knowledge, experience or an interest in licensing
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Personable – good attitude
  • Results oriented
  • Ability to comfortably interact with others as well as all levels of management
  • Solid work ethic

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $49390 – $66660

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
