2025 Summer Intern – Legal

Major League Baseball’s Summer Internship Program is designed to provide exceptional students interested in a career in sports with a unique opportunity to learn firsthand about the diverse business operations of baseball. Those selected will gain invaluable work experience through challenging project assignments, information sessions hosted by MLB senior management, and various developmental events.

Program Overview:

The summer program runs from June 9th to August 8th, 2025 and requires a commitment of 9 weeks. Program will be primarily based out of our New York City office.

Following are the variety of departments available accepting intern applications for Summer 2025 Program:

  • Investigations
  • Sports Betting & Compliance
  • Legal (Business & Technology, Corporate & Finance, Global Media, Intellectual Property, Labor Relations)

The internship application period will remain open until Dec 20, 2024.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Currently enrolled as 1st or 2nd year Law students
  • Excellent academic standing
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Some previous work experience (part-time, internship or volunteer) related to the department(s) of interest is strongly preferred

Pay Range: $20 – $23 per hour*

*Your pay rate will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills, and any other factors MLB considers relevant to the hiring decision.
